Finally the warm weather is here!
Hopefully it has been nice where you are, and you and your hounds have been able to get out and about. As usual, we have been very busy here at BRNGB, so here's a little round up of all our news!
New look website!
Our fabulous webmaster Jeff has been hard at work updating our website, which has a lovely, clean new look. He works so hard on it for us to keep it running and up to date, please let us know what you think. We think its great and we really do appreciate all the hours he spends on it for us.
If you need a website yourself, please pop over to his business website and have a look at the services he can provide, at a very reasonable rate. We recommend him highly.

Bonnie and Bella
We were incredibly humbled and ovewhelmed when we posted our heartfelt plea for a home for Bonnie and Bella, as we were really worried that these beautiful ladies were in desperate circumstances. The emails came in within minutes of the blog going live, and we had so much interest we could not believe it. Thankfully, we have great news to report, that Bonnie and Bella will be going to their new home this coming weekend. We are so grateful to the wonderful job Sarah and Pete have done for these ladies. We hope to bring you lots of updates when they are settled in their new home.
Martin's incredible run!
Martin Puddifer, our wonderful friend and supporter, ran the Caerphilly 10k race in aid of us on the 20th June. Incredibly, he has raised £460! Thank you to all of you who sponsored Martin, we know he worked really hard to get himself 'race ready'! Big thanks must also go to his beautiful wife Rachel and stunning basset Elbee who put up with him through the training! Watch this space for the next race!
Wirral Waddlers BBQ
Clare Hodgson and her merry band of Wirral waddlers had a wonderful day as well on the 20th June! They organised a waddle, a fun dog show, a raffle and a barbecue in a pub called...The Basset Hound! The weather looked a bit dodgy to start with, but soon cleared, and a great day was had by all. £158.40 was raised for us, which is a brilliant total! Well done to all involved in organising, and thank you to all who came and took part.
We can't express to you how much your support means to us, and the wonderful people we have surrounding us are incredible. You are our backbone, and because of you, we can rescue and rehome more and more basset hounds. Thank you.
Meet Wilbur, who was rehomed from Gloustershire to South Wales, isn't he adorable? We know he's going to have a lovely life with his new family.
Say hello to Luna who was fostered by Julie. Julie has fallen head over heels in love with her and has decided to adopt her! We can't say we're surprised as she is gorgeous! Love and luck to you all.
The very distinguished Hugo made the mammoth journey from Middlesborough to Essex a few weeks ago to begin a new life. He's settling in with Nicola and her family very well.
A very special thank you goes to our good friends Gareth and Alison, who came to our aid with the transport. We couldn't have managed without you, thank you so very much.
For all our Daisy followers, we are pleased to say she is doing well and still not on heart medication yet. Her new vet was hoping to get her spayed, take off the sore on her back and attend to some teeth, but after an ECG she decided it wasnt worth the risk. They did, however, manage to give her a little sedation, and with a local anaesthetic, take off the sore on her back. Hopefully this will be a quick recovery and she will be back to full strength soon.
She was just up staying with Louise last week, and had a fabulous time with Frank, Bertie and Penny, she certainly loves to play!
Basset Camp with Wayne!
Camping with your bassets? Fabulous idea! Wayne, dad to Ronnie and Rosie, who many of you will know if you have been to any of our events, has arranged a camping weekend in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, on the weekend of the 17th July. Please contact us here if you'd like some more information. It looks like a really nice site and we know there will be lots of fun to be had!
As we grow, we are needing more foster homes, home checkers and transporter volunteers. If there is any way in which you can help us, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us! Follow the link hereto email us for further information.
That's a quick round up of most of the goings on at BRNGB, we've lots of new dogs coming in and going out, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates.
Thank you, as always, for your support and generosity.
