Cissy and Lily
A beautiful pair of basset hounds, ready and waiting to find their perfect home!
Cissy and Lily are five years old, and are currently in foster with Caroline and her family in Suffolk.
They are both neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Cissy is lemon and white, Lily is tri-coloured, and both are gorgeous!
"Lily and Cissy are five years old. We had no information about them apart from that they liked to be crated together. That went out of the window the moment they discovered the sofa and refused to go in the crate! The girls are so well behaved and have never been destructive so the crate was put away and they have the run of the house. They can be left with no problems for a few hours a day.
The girls are not your average Basset as they are enthusiastic walkers and can be quite strong if they pick up a scent, so they will need an active home. They enjoy the company of children and adults, and have never been aggressive to either. However, small furries would be a no no. They are good with other dogs and could live with another dog as long as it was not dominant, Cissy is the pack leader and keeps Lily and my dog in order. She does get grumbly with her sister if she is not doing what she's supposed to.
Lily is a beautiful scatter brain that thinks nothing of galloping round the garden at full speed. Cissy is not a conventional beauty and carries a little extra weight but has a very loving nature. Both dogs also love a cuddle and will curl up on the sofa with us, or, given the chance, will snuggle down on the our bed as soon as breakfast is over.
Both of these dogs have been an absolute pleasure to spend lockdown with and deserve to have the very best future with a garden to charge around and no crate."
We are sure these girls will not be waiting long for their special home!
Cissy and Lily are looking for a home that includes the following;
- an active family who can take the girls on exciting walks which they love, with a nice sized garden for them to run off steam.
- no small furry pets, including cats.
- patience and time to spend with Cissy and Lily in the crucial first few weeks as they adapt.
