Tia and Jager

Tia and Jager

Age: 7

Sex: Female

Health: Overweight, but healthy.

Location: Staffordshire

'Tia and Jager came to stay 6 weeks ago.

This is the second time we have fostered these two fabulous girls. They came back to us due to a sad change in their owner's circumstances.

Tia and Jager are a bonded pair of sisters, who are an absolute joy. They have impeccable manners. They have no issues when left on their own, they very seldom bark.

Tia is the spotty coated hound and Jager the lemon and white, they are crossed with a cocker spaniel. They are beautiful hounds, and they are both very well socialised, they simply adore everyone they meet.

The girls are fantastic with little humans, and have no issues with other dogs. They have lived with cats, chickens and a parrot whilst with us with no concerns.

Tia and Jager are on a restricted diet as they're on the large side so this will need to be maintained until they are an acceptable weight. They have excellent recall and are fab off lead, so exercise isn't a problem.

Tia and Jager travel well in a car. They either sleep downstairs or will sleep in your bedroom in their own beds. Neither of them have any issues with toileting, they let you know when they need to go!

Both girls love to sofa surf and adore cuddles. They love to play with you or by themselves.

These two girls are an absolute joy, so come on folks what are you waiting for, you won't regret it!'

Tia and Jager are looking for a home that includes the following;

  • Someone who is at home often.
  • A family willing to continue with their weight loss regime.
  • An active family, as the girls really do need the exercise to help with their weight loss and their mental stimulation.
  • Patience and time to spend with Tia and Jager in the crucial first few weeks as they adapt.

Taking on a rescue dog is not the easy option. You need to be prepared to help a confused and troubled hound find their place in your family. They have been through a massive upheaval and will need time to settle into a new way of life, so please consider this BEFORE you fill in an application.

Tia and Jager are subject to an adoption fee and a successful home check. If your home check is successful, your family, including your resident hounds if you have them, will need to be able to travel to their foster home to meet them and their foster family.

You will also have a telephone call with a member of the team, plus Tia and Jager's foster family, so that all of their history can be shared with you in person, and that we can be assured that you can fill all of their needs and requirements.

Tia and Jager come with 5 weeks free insurance via our rehoming partner, Agria.

Thank you for reading Tia and Jager's blog. Please share where you are able.
